A 1972 ASPR newsletter corroborates Ingo Swann's 1971–72 ASPR research program but never uses the term "remote viewing"

The ASPR Newsletter, Number 14 (Summer 1972) — a bylined article by Karlis Osis, the American Society for Psychical Research's Director of Research — is the only contemporaneous (1971–72) document located that independently documents the research program in which Ingo Swann later placed his coining of "remote viewing." It survives accessibly only as a CIA FOIA Electronic Reading Room declassified scan (CIA-RDP96-00787R000400100012-6) mirrored on the Internet Archive; the reading room holds it because the ASPR's own membership newsletter was later gathered into the STARGATE-program collection, and it is a scan of the Society's newsletter, not a CIA-authored document.
