Hair's Views of the Collieries (1844)
An 1844 illustrated survey of North East England collieries, cited by T. E. Forster's 1930 "Collieries and the Coal Trade" chapter (in Hope Dodds's Northumberland County History Vol. 13) as the source for its account of an 1745 water crisis at the Heaton colliery ("Hair's Views of the Collieries, 1844, p. 20"). Not read by this vault; one documentary layer further back than either of the two primaries (Turnbull 2009, Hope Dodds 1930) the governing question tasked checking.
Watching because it is the actual root citation the "1745" figure traces to inside the one primary this vault has read directly — a plausible next step for resolving question-verify-heaton-banks-colliery-1745-closure-date, not yet investigated.
